About Me

My background, research interests, and the progression of my technical work.

Hammad Hasan working in an electrical engineering laboratory

I am an electrical engineer with a background in power electronics, electric machines, and control. I completed my M.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Khalifa University in 2024.

My work combines mathematical modeling and simulation with controller implementation, PCB design, and experimental validation. Multiphase induction drives have been a recurring focus: from the machine model and winding layout to predictive control and fault diagnosis.

More recently, I have worked on PSS/E transmission studies and PSCAD converter models, extending that background toward renewable integration and power-system dynamics.

Research interests

A connected research path

  1. 2022-2024

    Models & foundations

M.Sc. studies, converter-control projects, machine modeling, and fault-diagnosis research.

  2. 2024-2025

    Controllers & hardware

Research-associate work on multiphase drives, embedded implementation, and laboratory validation.

  3. 2026

    Converters & the grid

Renewable integration, transmission studies, and grid-following/grid-forming inverter comparisons.

I am interested in connecting physical models, control algorithms, simulation, and real hardware.
